DAY ONE – Thursday

Rome-Santo Stefano di Sessanio in Abruzzo-Presentations

• 10:00AM: Meeting at Ciampino Airport in Rome OR Fiumicino Airport
• Transfer from Rome to the fascinating medieval village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio in the majestic Gran Sasso d’Italia mountain range
• Arrival at our  charming hotel in the  medieval village
• Welcome drink aperitif, presentation of staff and introduction to the Abruzzo Photography Holiday
• Lunch in Santo Stefano di Sessanio
• Afternoon general photography session and one-to-ones
• Dinner followed by a good night’s rest

DAY TWO - Friday

Photography lessons –– Santo Stefano di Sessanio - Campo Imperatore &

Castel Del Monte - Rocca Calascio - Sunset

• After breakfast…photography class with tutors
• Morning photography practice in the beautiful medieval village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio
• Light lunch / Picnic in Santo Stefano di Sessanio
• 15:30: Afternoon drive up to Campo Imperatore & Castel Del Monte for photography session
• Then off to the impressive medieval Fortress of Rocca Calascio as the Sun sets over the highest peaks of the Apennines, the Gran Sasso d’Italia
• Dinner at the nearby Rifugio della Rocca where our hostess  Susanna  will treat us to the very best of local specialties
• Return to Santo Stefano

DAY THREE – Saturday

Santo Stefano di Sessanio - Sulmona – Villa Danilo

• After breakfast, we say goodbye to our hosts in Santo Stefano and head towards the classically beautiful Italian town of Sulmona, world renowned for its confetti
• This morning's photography session will feature a spot of people snapping & watching as the locals enjoy a leisurely passeggiata in Sulmona
• A leisurely stroll through this historical village to visit its shops and Sulmona’s busy Piazza Garibaldi towered by the historical Medieval Aqueduct
• Lunch in Sulmona followed by an afternoon photography practice session
• 18:00: It’s off to our lovely 4-Star Resort Hotel Villa Danilo in Gamberale, in the Maiella National Park
• Arrival at Villa Danilo and Welcome Drink Villa Danilo
• Presentation of staff and introduction to the second part of the Photography Holiday
• Dinner at Villa Danilo 
• Good night’s rest

DAY FOUR – Sunday

Il Mulino di Roio Experience – Local wildlife - Picnic in the woods – Truffle Hunting

• After breakfast we will reach the beautifully restored XIV century watermill Agriturismo Il Mulino di Roio
• This idyllic setting by the Sangro river will feature a walk through the woods to spot boars, horses and donkeys for our practice session
• Today’s tuition will be about Aperture and Depth of Field
• Lunch will be alfresco
• After lunch,  we put on our walking boots to go truffle hunting with a local hunter and his dogs.
• Return to Villa Danilo
• Truffle dinner at Villa Danilo…and we’ll have our own fresh truffles as well!

DAY FIVE - Monday

Roccascalegna Castle - La Costa dei Trabocchi – Pescara / Rome Airport – Arrivederci Abruzzo!

• After breakfast, we say goodbye to our hosts at Villa Danilo and head towards the XI century Castle of Roccascalegna
• Lunch in the area
• Then it’s off to the beautiful Costa dei Trabocchi
• Arrival in the town of Fossacesia and visit to its XII century Abbey of S. Giovanni in Venere overlooking the stunning Golfo di Venere and the oldest olive tree in Abruzzo
• Photography session
• A leisurely drive along the coast to reach the Pescara countryside as we head back to either Pescara airport or Rome FCO...arrivederci Abruzzo!

We do this by nature and soul, as proud as we are of our proposals and our people. Tips are never expected and always come as a nice bonus for our partners.

  A token of gratitude. Ideally your Host should collect €75 eur in cash per guest on Day 3 to cover all tips that deserve to be shared among all Partners. Tips are not compulsory by any means, and should be given exclusively for high quality service.
