DAY ONE – Monday

Rome-Agriturismo La Rustica-Presentations

• 14:30: Meet at Ciampino Airport in Rome OR Fiumicino Airport
• Transfer from Rome to the charming Agriturismo La Rustica in the sweeping hills of the Pescara countryside, where our hosts Cristina and Armando will be waiting for us
• Welcome drink aperitif by the pool before settling in for a leisurely afternoon and presentation of the Abruzzo1.com Creative Painting programme and itinerary
• Dinner at Agriturismo La Rustica

• A good night’s rest

DAY TWO - Tuesday

Sketching & Pastel sessions in the countryside –– Pianella

• After breakfast we will have our first painting class with our Tutors with a morning sketching and drawing session in the beautiful surroundings of Agriturismo La Rustica 
• Picnic lunch in the countryside
• Later this afternoon we reach the nearby hilltop town of Pianella for an Art session along the cobbled streets of the Old Town
• Dinner will be in the village
• Return to Agriturismo La Rustica

DAY THREE – Wednesday

Painting with Acrylics – Bucchianico Art Session

Gala Dinner & Wine Tasting Bucchianico

• After breakfast, we pick up our art session from where we left off yesterday and focus our attention on the basics of painting with acrylics with our art Tutor

• Lunch will be in the surroundings of La Rustica sipping excellent Montepulciano d’Abruzzo

• This afternoon, it’s off to the hilltop medieval town of Bucchianico for our Art session

• As our Art session winds down, an aperitivo in Piazza with the locals before our short stroll down Bucchianico’s narrow alleyways and we are all in for a treat as dinner will also be an indulging wine experience!
• Our sommelier Claudio will open his exclusive cantina for a wine-tasting aperitif with a delicious selection of local specialties!

• Return to Agriturismo La Rustica for a good night’s rest

DAY FOUR – Thursday

Painting with Acrylics - Medieval Santo Stefano di Sessanio & the Gran Sasso

• After breakfast it will be time to say goodbye to our hosts at Agriturismo La Rustica and  we head to the enchanting medieval village of  Santo Stefano di Sessanio in the majestic Gran Sasso d’Italia mountain range

• Arrival at our charming hotel in the village, among its ancient walls
• Chance to wonder around to discover Santo Stefano’s incredibly picturesque corners and inspiring architecture and features before lunch

• Afternoon Art session in the village
• Dinner in Santo Stefano di Sessanio

DAY FIVE - Friday

Sketching & Watercolour - Santo Stefano di Sessanio – Rocca Calascio Castle & Sunset

• This morning’s Art Session will be among the cobbled alleys of our fascinating location to capture its soul on canvas with its dozens of inspiring settings
• Lunch in Santo Stefano di Sessanio
• Late afternoon visit to the nearby impressive medieval Fortress of Rocca Calascio to observe a stunning sunset over the Gran Sasso and capture a creativity-inspiring light….sipping a glass of Prosecco, of course!
• Aperitif and dinner in the village of Rocca Calascio
• Return to Residenza La Torre for a good night’s rest

DAY SIX - Saturday

Sketching & Watercolour - Sulmona - Rome

• After breakfast, we say goodbye to our hosts in Santo Stefano and head towards the classically beautiful Italian town of Sulmona, world renowned for its confetti

• A final Art session and a leisurely stroll through this historical village to visit its shops and Sulmona’s busy Piazza Garibaldi on market day, towered by the historical Medieval Aqueduct
• Light lunch in Sulmona
• Transfer to Rome…arrivederci Abruzzo!
